入宫时日尚短的萩祺和赵语星种了淑妃埋下的圈套，听从太后掌事公公林公公的指点，用朱雀图案为太后准备了祭礼，却不想竟因此触怒了龙颜，被淑妃下令逮捕入狱。二人在被押解入狱的途中，萩祺恳求皇上身边的掌事公公苗公公将二人被林公公陷害一事，启禀给皇上，却不想这又中了淑妃的算计。皇上听了苗公公的禀告后，便召见了林公公，却不想林公公对自己之前的所作所为矢口否认，再加上淑妃从旁煽风点火，皇上盛怒之下认为萩祺和赵语星实属欺君罔上，而对二人下了杀令。直到此时，赵语星才后知后觉的发现二人乃是中了别人的阴谋，而双手接下了刺死二人的圣旨。萩祺和赵语星失事后，红儿本想私自处理了小二，为淑妃出气，却不想被哲里和岳鬃麟撞见。
