在一个寻常假日的早晨，警视厅搜查一课9系刑警青柳靖（吹越满 饰）被搭档矢泽英明（田口浩正 饰）叫醒，前一晚他的同居女友妙子（远藤久美子 饰）发高烧，虽然百般不情愿，但是青柳还是跟着矢泽去和其他执行监视任务的同事交班。他们所要监视的对象名叫恭子（西田尚美 饰），其女儿三年前因肇事逃逸的事故去世，不久前刑满释放的肇事者被人杀害，而恭子下落不明的前夫水城（宅间孝行 饰）则有很大嫌疑。青柳和矢泽这对组合起初让恭子很是反感，但当她得知青柳女友的名字和亡女名字相同时，不禁心中升起认同之感。 夜幕降临，大雨瓢泼，二人能否成功完成这次工作呢？
